Vibroacoustic Therapy Training Course
Information & Course OutlineÂ
Welcome to the amazing world of Vibroacoustic Therapy!
I’m Narissa Young, and I’ve been practising this amazing modality for 3 years in my sound healing studio on Vancouver Island, BC Canada. After completing an Associate’s Degree in Sound Healing I was certified by the original creator of this course, Kate Kunkel who is now retired.
This program is the longest running certification for Vibroacoustics!Â
Kate’s training with a representative of the founder of the modality, Olav Skille, and her experience as a vibroacoustic harp therapist made her realize that a comprehensive and consistent program was needed to ensure that people using this modality were utilizing it to its maximum benefit. That’s why, in 2014, she created the VAT Therapist certification course.Â
I’m excited to be one of the new owners and lead trainer for the program, expanding into the next chapter of sharing this powerful healing modality. In a time when so many are looking for non-invasive, natural wellness solutions this training is right on time. As sound healing gains momentum, adding Vibroacoustic Therapy to your practice can mean even more profound results for your clients. The sessions can be offered before another modality or effectively as a stand alone treatment. Results are cumulative and you’ll be delighted to see this week after week as clients return happier and healthier.Â
I regularly witness profound experiences in my studio and love watching clients become the best, healthiest version of themselves, and stronger members of their communities.Â
In this course, you learn not only to treat clients, but also to educate them and others about the healing power of VAT.
Some important notes about the training:
-  You must have a vibroacoustic system of your own, or ongoing access to one, because experiencing the frequency programs is a big part of the education. If you don’t already have one please email me at [email protected] to set up an unbiased equipment consultation. There’s lots to choose from and we’ll be sure to help you navigate and make the best choice. Check the Equipment page to get some inspiration.Â
- Â You should be willing and able to commit at least 3-5 hours per week to the program and be committed to completing it in a timely manner.Â
-  You can easily complete the course in 6 weeks, but you have a MAXIMUM of TWELVE WEEKS to complete the program. If you do not complete the program in the allotted time, and you still want certification, you will have to start over again, including paying for the course again. This ensures the best use of our time together and if it’s stretched out any longer it’s difficult to remember what you learned at the beginning by the time you get to the end. Â
- We meet 5 or 6 times during the course. The number and frequency depends on how much you are able to do as coursework on your own time, if you have lots of questions, or we need to go over things a couple of times. I take whatever time is necessary to ensure that you are comfortable with the information. Normally the meetings are done via ZOOM.
- This training uses a range of proprietary frequency programs based on practice and research that has been ongoing for 60 years. These programs are licensed and to be used ONLY by graduates of the course. We do not sell the programs without the training.  *Speak to us if you’d like to collaborate on a custom or group training for your business.
- The nine frequency programs that are part of the course are distributed along with the written materials, dripped out over the time it takes you to complete the course. I ask you to experience and report on your experiences with the frequency programs before we do the meeting for that module. That's why you need your own device, or access to one.Â
- In addition to the experiential requirements, there are also four quizzes that must be correctly completed to receive certification. These are critical to anchoring the knowledge for client safety and so you are able to share the power of VAT accurately.
- Once all of the requisites are completed, you will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to begin a practice as a Vibroacoustic Therapy Practitioner. You will receive a certificate of course completion after completing all of the requirements.
The cost for one on one private training is $1000 USD. *Group training cost is $700 USD per person - ask about our next group training dates.Â
Group training is completed in 6 weeks so it’s important you’re able to commit to this time frame. If not, then private training is a better option for you and can be completed in 12 weeks.
In order to register for the course, we do need to spend some time talking to ensure the requirements of the course are understood, and that what it entails is a good fit for your practice. We will chat via ZOOM.
Please set up a meeting with me by emailing us at [email protected]
We look so forward to meeting with you,
Narissa

With the wealth of knowledge provided through this course, I feel like I have the knowledge and resources to be successful as a VAT practitioner. Â
I came into the course with a very high level understanding of what VAT is, but I’ve learned so much more about the history of the practice as well as the various benefits and use cases of VAT. It truly is a well-designed course and I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking to use VAT as a part of their business or even for personal use.
